Attachment Therapy

With Jordan Ortiz, LMFT

I help people untangle relationship patterns so they have connected, grounded, and fulfilling relationships.

Are you wondering why the same thing keeps happening in your relationships? Does closeness sometimes bring up fear, distance, or the urge to pull away?

Attachment patterns are deeply ingrained and shaped by early experiences. They influence relationships, friendships, and even work.

Some clients recognize a pursue-withdraw pattern. Others are triggered by old wounds and red flags repeat. Maybe you work hard to understand what’s happening, but the cycle keeps coming back.

Clients Come To Me When

Some of the experiences that bring clients into my office include:

  • Repeating red flags

  • Pursue-withdraw patterns

  • Triggered by old wounds

  • Rocky friendships

  • Closeness is scary

  • Same relationship cycles

  • Difficulty with a manager or coworkers

Attachment Therapy With Me

Once you understand the dynamics shaping your relationships, you have a clearer process for doing things differently.

We’ll look at your relationships, your history, and the patterns connecting them. We’ll pay attention to what happens in the room, too. The work isn’t about following one fixed therapy plan. It’s about meeting in the room and following what’s happening.

Part of this work is learning that you don’t have to do it alone. Processing what was once overwhelming with another person makes change more tolerable and helps you work through fear, shame, or shutdown.

The Approaches We’ll Use

You Learned These Patterns For A Reason

Your relationship patterns made sense in the context of your life. Understanding them gives you more choice in how you connect, respond, and choose relationships.

After Attachment Therapy With Me

Clients Report:

  • Leaning into closeness

  • Greater self-awareness

  • Choosing better partners

  • Trusting themselves

  • More authentic connection

  • Streamlined conflict resolution

  • Richer friendships

Clients also report greater clarity about what they want, more trust in their gut, and less overwhelm when hard things happen.

“We turn what’s been unconscious into conscious and explicit patterns. And with understanding, we build the process for change.”

About Jordan Ortiz

Hi, I’m Jordan Ortiz, LMFT.

I work with people through a systemic, relational lens, paying close attention to the patterns, histories, and dynamics that shape how we show up in relationships.

At the core of my work is the belief that everyone is doing the best that they can and can do better. People make sense in context, and meaningful change happens when we understand not just what is happening, but why.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in commercial construction project management and helped grow a company from 3 to 60 employees. I’ve always been an observer and a listener. Reality TV was, in a way, an early introduction to therapy. I was always watching what people were trying to say to each other and why it wasn’t working.

I have a really dry sense of humor. The work is hard, but we’ll find time to laugh too. I’m married, live in Dallas, and spend time trying new restaurants, cooking with my husband, hosting Survivor watch nights, and deep-diving into my latest obsession on Reddit.

Availability: I provide in-person therapy in Dallas, Texas, and virtual therapy via telehealth for clients throughout Texas.
